Jonathon Schultheiss Joins Retirement Plan Group of Oak Ridge Wealth Management

Greensboro, N.C. (7/23/09) – Oak Ridge Wealth Management announced the addition of Investment Consultant  to its Retirement Plan Group. A native of High Point, Jonathon now lives in Thomasville with his wife and children. He has worked in the financial industry for seven years and most recently ran his own investment firm. He offers expertise as a retirement plan consultant with a focus on nonprofit plans, including insight regarding the 403b law changes that went into effect last year.  Jonathon is a registered representative of INVEST Financial Corporation.

 

“I enjoy educating clients on the things they should be doing to plan for retirement. Not just saving and investing, but the total big picture,” said Jonathon. “I have even started writing an educational book focused on retirement plan participants.”

James has lived in the Greensboro area for 25 years and has experience helping clients with financial and retirement planning. He is involved locally in the community through Hannah’s Haven, Grace Community Church, and the Triad Business Builders.

Oak Ridge Wealth Management Relocates Office, Seeks To Grow

Greensboro, N.C. (February 9, 2009) – Oak Ridge Wealth Management recently relocated its office to 328 Market St. East in downtown Greensboro. An open house reception was held January 16 to celebrate the new location. Over 200 people were in attendance, including city officials and other downtown business owners.

“The theme of our event was Reaching New Heights, and the live music and great food that evening set the perfect tone to introduce our new office,” said Oak Ridge Wealth Management Vice President Joe Vartanian. “This new location will allow us to better deliver ‘Financial Planning As It Should Be’ and gives us room to grow. While many in our field are cutting back or just trying to survive, we’re looking to expand and hire new financial planning professionals in the coming months.”


 

 

 

 

Oak Ridge Wealth Management Golf Tournament Raises $2500 for Local Charity

Greensboro, N.C. (August 20, 2008) – Oak Ridge Wealth Management hosted the 2008 Gate City Executives Challenge Charity golf tournament at the Champions Course at Bryan Park July 31. Local celebrity and former pro football player, Ricky Proehl, attended on behalf of his Power of Play Charitable Fund. The tournament raised $2500 for Proehl’s foundation, which helps children in North Carolina who have special medical and/or social needs.

“This fundraising event was incredibly successful for the first year,” said Joe Vartanian, Financial Planner for Oak Ridge Wealth Management. “We plan to expand the tournament for next year and continue to join forces with local business leaders for charitable community work.”

Proceeds were raised from the purchase of mulligans and contests, including the hole in one challenge, putting, the longest drive and closest to the pin. Rick Pinto of Pinto, Coates, Kyre & Brown took the prize for the hole in one on the 14th hole, a 210-yard par three. 

Seventeen teams of four competed for first place, middle of the pack and last place awards. The first place trophy went to Ricky Proehl, Mike Paratapas, the president of Proehlific Park, Sean Kenny of Horizon Tool and Rick Lyles of JB Wolfe Homes. The middle of the pack trophy winners included Lou Pollock, Lance Pollock, Ronnie Blaylock and Brian Rieschick all of Laughlin-Sutton Construction. Hugh Black of Bank Of Oak Ridge, Scott Mathews of Filtration Tech Inc., Don Henry of Caribex Worldwide and Paul Bestehorn of Nationwide Retirement took the last place trophy.
